Partner of the A.S.A.P. Project – is a public body operating at NUTS3 level, with a total population of about 380,000 in 39 Municipalities.

In the last years the Province acquired functions and competencies that more and more place it in a central role at the service of the community, for the governance of sustainable growth and development.

The Province plans the strategic political development of the territory, joining and coordinating the other local powers. Among its functions there are: the protection and valorisation of the water and energetic resources, soil protection, protection and valorisation of the environment and prevention of the natural calamities, natural protection of the flora and the fauna, parks and reservoirs.
