Beneficiary of the A.S.A.P. Project, is a public-private, profit, multi-utility company owned by ABAB Spa (grouping Acea Spa, Suez Environnement S.A., MPS Spa, Vianini Lavori Spa, Degrémont Spa, C.T.C. scarl.), Gea Spa (Pisa), Publiservizi Spa (Empoli, FI), Cerbaie Spa (Pontedera, PI), Coad Spa (Pescia ,PT), Aquapur Spa (Capannori; LU), and the municipalities of Chiesina Uzzanese and Crespina.

On 2002 the Basin Authority ATO 2 (created under Italian Law n. 36, 5/1/1994 and Tuscany Regional Law n. 81/95) assigned to Acque SPA the management of the integrated water service of the Lower Valdarno River Basin (Tuscany, IT) covering 5 provinces, 57 municipalities, serving 720.000 citizens.

ACQSPA manages a 5.230 Km freshwater network, 479 wells, 206 wells and 20 surface captation sites. The sewage net operated by ACQSPA is 2.854 Km long. Last three years (2002-2004) investments sum up to € 90.763.109 of which € 57.142.712 in freshwater management, renewal, rehabilitation.

Acque 2002-2022 investment plan approximates € 651 million, mainly aimed to achieving sustainable excellence in integrated water cycle management. ACQSPA cooperates with public and private organisms in Italy and Europe and carries out several projects with research centres and Universities (University of Pisa, CNR, ARPAT, ENEA, CNR).
